Denmark Course & Competition

Members of Park Lodge have attended this excellent pre-christmas course and competition hosted by our jujitsu friends in Denmark for the past 2 years.

Last year Holly and Chris Hudson brought home some medals, and hope to be competing again this year.  Last year the Park Lodge team consisted of 5 of our students - we would like to make it more this year!  Our hosts put on an excellent event, and a great party night for us, so this weekend away is well worth attending.

Park Lodge have once again been invited by our friend Hans Demant to attend their annual course and competition.

Competition entries MUST be in to Sensei Hans by 1st November.

Flights:

We do not all have to get the same flights - it is easy to travel to the venue by train if you make alternative arrangements. However, the following flights are recommended (and are what we will book):

Easyjet 3461. Stanstead - Copenhagen. Fri 27th Nov, dep 07:15 (arr 10:00)

Easyjet 3466. Copenhagen - Stanstead. Sun 29th Nov, dep 16:50 (arr 17:35)

Accommodation:

A hotel can be arranged for you, or you may opt to sleep in their dojo (they provide camp beds, but bring a sleeping bag) - see prices overleaf. However, you may consider making this a family weekend, and choose to stay in Copenhagen. Non-jujitsu partners may enjoy exploring the city and the christmas markets on the Saturday.

Transport:

The dojo is around half an hour from Copenhagen by train. Last year transport was arranged for us for the short trip from the dojo to the sports centre.

Eating and Drinking:

Friday night is free. The Park Lodge contingent will probably go out together, either at one of the local restaurants or in Copenhagen.

Saturday night the Danish club hosts a party in their dojo - in past years they have offered fantastic food and a cheap bar, and there is a compulsory christmas game to play.

Course & Competition:

Pairs Demonstration, Random Attack, Weapon kata, Ju Jitsu Kata,
Ground Fight. Sparring.

9.00 – 12.30 Course starts – adults & children
12.30 – 13.00 Paus
13.00 – 18.00 Danish open, Competition
18.00 – End of the Course and Competition
19.30 – Dinner and Disco

Costs:

We will confirm all entries and arrange payments in October. Note that prices are in Danish Kroner, and subject to exchange rate variances.

Course (adult) :            250DK
Party (Saturday) :         180DK
Accomodation in Dojo :   80DK per night (with breakfast)
Hotel accomodation :     275DK per night
